A sherry-matured single malt from Tamdhu, this is the fourth edition in the Speyside distillery's award-winning Batch Strength Series. Vanilla and berry fruit begin proceedings, followed swiftly by sherry-oak spice and dried fruit lightened with a sharp citrus twang – all backed up by a hefty 57.8% ABV.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Delicate oak spice, Black Forest gateau and oily walnut, then thick layers of maple syrup, orange marmalade and ripe barley. There’s a little marzipan in the backdrop.

Palate: Think Pavlova with summer berries, a sprinkle of brown sugar, freshly baked biscuits and flickers of baking spices.

Finish: Dried fruit, lemon zest and dark chocolate. This one certainly isn't in a hurry.
